The quickest and most comfortable way to travel from Madrid to Córdoba is by taking a high-speed train from Madrid Puerta de Atocha – Almudena Grandes to Córdoba Central Station.

You can buy high-speed train tickets from the following companies:

✈️ How to get from Madrid Airport (Barajas) to Atocha Train Station?

If you land at Madrid Adolfo Suárez Barajas Airport, you have several options to reach the train station.

🔹 Option 1: Airport Express Bus (Line 203)

If you arrive at T1, T2 or T4, you can take the Airport Express Bus 203. The ticket costs 5€ (2024 price), payable in cash (maximum 20€).

– At T4, the stop is at Arrivals.
– At T1 and T2, the stops are located at Departures (very easy to find).

If you land at Terminal 4, you can use the Cercanías Renfe C1 train, which connects directly with Atocha.
(Important: the C1 train only connects with T4, not T1 or T2.)

You can also combine the metro with the Cercanías train to reach Atocha.

Steps:

• 🚇 Take Metro Line 8 (pink) from the airport to Nuevos Ministerios.
• Change to Cercanías Renfe and take lines C1, C2, C7, C8 or C10 towards Atocha.

Note: Although the metro map shows a route from Nuevos Ministerios to Atocha, it requires several transfers and is much slower.
The metro + Cercanías combination is faster and easier.
